Lisa Davis Lyon, age 52, of Flower Mound, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Denton. She was born September 9, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Alvin A. “Bud” Davis and Marjorie Anne Hill Davis. Lisa moved to Lubbock, Texas as a young child where she grew up attending First Baptist Church Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School. Lisa attended Texas A & M University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and graduated with a BS in Food Science Technology in 1982. She obtained her MS in Home Economics in 1985 from Texas Tech University. After graduating, she worked as a clinical dietician in Lubbock. In October 1986, she married Jim Lyon and they moved to Flower Mound in 1988. Most currently Lisa was working as an Administrative Assistant for the Texas State Senator Chris Harris. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Michelle and Laura, and brother, Paul (Tina) Davis of Bay City, Texas. Lisa was preceded in death by her son, Christopher. A service to celebrate Lisa's life will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Christian Community Action of Lewisville, the Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County, or any Republican 2012 candidate trying to defeat President Barack Obama's agenda.
