Fred Alan Erp of Simpsonville, South Carolina died April 21, 2012.
Born in Overton, Texas on October 10, 1934, he was a son of the late Herbert D. Erp and Gertrude Blankenship Erp.
Fred was a graduate of Texas A&M University and a registered Professional Engineer. He served in the USAF with a rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Agape Sunday School Class of Greenville.
Fred is survived by his wife, Elise Lore Erp,daughters Kathryn E. Howell and husband Logan of Raleigh, North Carolina; Carolyn E. Stracik and husband Glenn of Wharton, Texas; and son, Steven A. Erp and wife Sandra of Pilot Point, Texas; two grandchildren Kristin and Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert D. Erp, Jr., and Harlan C. Erp.
Service will be held at 2:00 pm preceded by visitation in the Church Parlor at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, Greenville.
Memorials may be made to the Prayer Ministry, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Washington St., Greenville, SC 29601.
