Andrew Jackson Evans III
1938 - 2012

Andrew Jackson Evans III, 74, of Houston, passed away peacefully at home April 18, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Jack was born January 4, 1938 to Patty Glass Evans and Andrew Jackson Evans Jr. During his younger years, he was cared for and schooled at the Masonic Home Class of 1955 in Fort Worth, TX. He graduated from Texas A&M as a Petroleum Engineer. Jack was an avid fan and supporter of Texas A&M. In becoming an Aggie, he followed in his father's footsteps. His father played football for the Aggies and was on the 1921-22 team that inspired the famous 12th Man Tradition at Texas A&M. Jack was a long time member of the 12th Man Foundation. Jack made a decision to donate his body to the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in College Station, Texas. He worked for Hess Corp. until he retired. He is survived by his wife Linda Dantin Evans, his sister Patricia Williams, 2 daughters from a prior marriage, Rebecca Hayes her husband Bob and daughter Rhonda Nance and her husband, Brad. Jack was blessed with 4 grand children Blake Hayes, KatieBeth Nance, Victoria Nance and Mary Francis Nance.
He is survived by an extended family of 8 children, Andy Dantin, Roy Dantin, Amanda Sullivan, Danny Dantin, Melody Theriot, Mark Schienbein, Tom Scheinbein, Greg Schienbein, 17 grandchildren, Tiffany Hayes Bozeman, Tracy Hayes Miller, Austin Dantin, Drew Dantin, Nikolas Dantin, Glen McCallister, Steven McCallister, Gabrielle Dantin, Branden Dantin, Kimberly Jones, Christian Dantin, Gabrielle Stanford, Taylor Stanford, Rachel Schienbein, Amber Schienbein, Nicholas Schienbein, Lauren Schienbein.3 great grandchildren Hudson Miller, Jackson Miller, and Brandon Craft and baby Bozeman on the way.
