Robert W. (Bob) Nelson
LONGVIEW — Funeral services for Robert W. (Bob) Nelson, 81, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with the Reverends Scott Schulik and Jerry Walles officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. today, April 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Mr. Nelson passed away Monday in a Longview hospital.
A native of Corsicana, Texas, he was born March 14, 1931, and graduated from Corsicana High School and from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was a retired CPA and a member of the Baptist church. Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Freda Nelson of Longview; son, James Nelson of Harleton; daughters, Angie Oswald of Lexington, S.C. and Pam Raney of Overton; granddaughters, Kaylynn Raney and Geri Lin Oswald; brothers, Lesley Nelson of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Wesley Nelson of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and Tom Nelson of Wichita Falls, Texas; and a number nieces and nephews.
