John Dunn Jr. John went to heaven on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the age of 82 in Wimberley, Texas. He was born in Clegg (Live Oak County), Texas on November 28, 1929, to John Francilum and Minnie Ola (Thornton) Dunn. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather & uncle. John was hard-working, generous & honest. Loving to his Lord and Savior, to his family and friends-a true believer. In 1948, John graduated from the San Marcos Baptist Academy. He attended Southwest Texas State University and Texas A & M. He graduated from Texas A & I in Kingsville. John is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Judy Schoen Dunn; sons, John Frederick (Sandy); Gregg (Reta); James; Paul (Mary); Bill (Peta); & Matt; daughters, Kelly Bingham; & Marianne Rushing (Tracey); 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Modene Motley; mother-in-law, Ruby Lee Schoen; sister-in-law, Beverly (Ronnie) Lawrence; and brothers-in-law, Allan Lawrence and Bryan (Cindi) Schoen and many nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, his step-mother, Lydell Lewis Dunn; his father-in-law, Walter Schoen; and sister-in-law, Carol Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3429 Executive Center Drive, Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78731 or Crisis Bread Basket, P.O. Box 1721, Wimberley, Texas 78676-1721. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be today, April 10th, 7 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wimberley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 11th, 10:30 a.m.at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery in George West, TX.
