Garry McMahan Hanson
November 25th, 1952 - March 2nd, 2011
Garry McMahan Hanson, 58, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born on November 25, 1952 in Ft. Meade, Maryland. He was the son of the late Mark Kellogg and Hazel McMahan Hanson. He was a surveyor for Horizon Surveying Associates. He was a soccer coach. He enjoyed taking care of his Bonzai garden and he enjoyed coaching soccer.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn D. Arroyo-Hanson of Bluffton, SC; one son, James M. (Randi) Arroyo of Okatie, SC; one brother, Hugh M. Hanson of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Marcia Baumgardner and Kay Spreh of Flagler Beach, FL and five grandchildren, Kaeyanta, Aerrick, Darius, Demetrius and Felix Arroyo. He was predeceased by one daughter, Clancy E. Arroyo.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. The family would appreciate live plants in Garry’s honor or donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
