Roland W. Davie(1949 - 2011)
Roland W. Davie, 62, a former resident of Grand Prairie, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, in Weatherford. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Southland Cemetery, Grand Prairie. Visitation: Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth St.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The David & Roland Davie 1971 Scholarship Fund, School of Agriculture, Texas A&M University.
Born Jan. 14, 1949, in Dallas, he graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1967 and graduated from Texas A&M in 1971 with a B.B.A. in marketing. His greatest enjoyment was serving as a spotter at Texas A&M games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Imogene Davie. Survivors: Brother, David Davie; and numerous cousins.
