Harold J. Partridge,92, of Munday, Texas died Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Munday Nursing Center in Munday, Texas.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Munday, Texas with Dr. Gary Harber officiating assisted by Rev. Matt Harrington. Burial will be in the Gillespie Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas.
Visitation will be Saturday morning at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Partridge was born September 21, 1916 in Knox County, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Munday and a farmer. He was a second generation graduate of Texas A&M, he graduated with a agriculture engineering degree. He was employed as an engineer for USDA Soil Conservation Service for 15 years prior to joining his father in farming in the Sunset community. Harold married Nettie Griffith December 19, 1940. She preceded him in death May 10, 2006.
Survivors: two sons: Charley and wife Gayl Partridge and Dick and wife Rose Partridge both of Wichita Falls, Texas; One daughter: Joanna Delgado of Knox City, Texas; Two Sisters: Helen Shirley of Port Neches, Texas and Jeanelle Owen of Thailand; Six grandchildren and fourteen great granchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gillespie Cemetery Association and First Baptist Hymnal Fund.
