William Wallace
William Wayne Wallace of Canyon Lake passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in Houston at the age of 72. He was born in Bell County on February 15, 1939. Mr. Wallace graduated from Port Neches High School and from Texas A&M in 1961. Working with the Scouts for many years he was a Scoutmaster for 4 years.

He retired as a Certified Safety Professional and was in Safety Engineering since 1961. He served on Canyon Corner POA since it was formed and was the first secretary serving until just a few years ago. He also served for 2 years on the board of ESD#2 (Emergency Services District). Mr. Wallace retired from Saudi Aramco Oil Company in February 1999. He also did volunteer work with several Archeology groups. He loved camping and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Wallace; daughters Becky Wallace, Emily Uwe; sons Mike Wallace and his wife Natali, Mark Duke and his wife Dawn; brother James "Jim" Wallace; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fisher House Foundation, Inc. 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850-5168.
