Cassidy December 17, 1956 - June 26, 2011 NORMAN Kathaleen Diane Cassidy passed away in Norman, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Trinity, Texas, to James and Betty Jo (Garrett) Roberts. Kathaleen was united in marriage on May
18, 1985 in Houston, Texas, to Dr. Brandt G. Cassidy.
Kathaleen graduated from Buffalo High School in East Texas. She attended Texas A&M University and completed her degree in medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 1984. She worked in women's health and Pediatrics for 27 years in rural clinics, free clinics,
as a SANE Nurse and child advocate. She was employed with Dr. Victor Wilson of Caring Pediatrics for 6 years as a P.A. She enjoyed movies and reading medical thrillers.
Kathaleen is survived by her husband, Dr. Brandt Cassidy, of the home; her father, James Roberts of Buffalo, TX; one son, James Cassidy; one daughter, Meghan Cassidy of Norman; and three sisters: Lynn Copley of Trinity, TX; Jo Ann Rawlinson of Nacogdoches,
TX; and LaJean Volanski of Magnolia, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother in 2009.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1601 W. Imhoff Rd., Norman, OK, under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
