Clarence was born in 1936 in a small farming town called Nada, Texas. Along with his brother and two sisters, they worked hard in the field almost every day. He traveled overseas with the Army in his early 20's before attending college at Texas A&M to study Engineering. He met Dorothy at a dance in Frydek in 1963 and they were married two years later.

Clarence worked as an engineer at NASA Space Center for almost 30 years, and then did consulting work for another 15 years at various aerospace companies. His achievements include several patents and technical publications. He was awarded the 1990 AIAA Engineer of the Year award for his work on the Pole Escape System for the space shuttle.

He loved to listen to polka music and play the harmonica or accordion. He also loved traveling, camping, and was devoted to studying the Bible. He enjoyed building, constructing, or restoring anything from houses to classic cars. He would put his talents to good use by helping others in need. In all his successes, he remained a humble, honest, and down-to-earth man.

Clarence was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and member of the Living Church of God. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Dorothy, their son Mark Wesselski and wife Melody; daughter Karen Waller and husband Richard, along with three grandchildren: Grace Wesselski, Wyatt Wesselski, and Becca Waller. He also leaves behind two sisters, Wilma Dittrich and Evelyn Valis, as well as countless friends and family.

Arrangements under the direction of Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
