Vincent Mandola
Vincent Joseph Mandola entered the gates of heaven on Tuesday, the 5th of April, 2011. He was born on the 8th October, 1929 and was a life-long resident of Houston.

Vincent served our country in the Korean War as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army as a battalion commander from 1951 to 1953. He was a Texas A&M University graduate, class of 1950. Vincent was a member of the Texas A&M Corp of Cadets in the C-Troop Calvary, loyal university alumnus, tailgater and lifetime member of the 12th Man Foundation. He served the City of Houston as Assistant Director of the Health Department for 37 years until he retired in 1992. He was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Vincent belonged to the proud Houston Mandola family that tallied over 600 at the last reunion.

Vincent's passion in life was his family. He celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife, Annette, on the 12th of January, 2011 and was a tender and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed beyond measure by all that were blessed to know him.

Vincent is preceded in death by his parents, the late Joseph Vincent Mandola and Lena Mary Mandola; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the late Albert Lee Romano and Rosa Testa Romano. He is survived by his wife, Annette Lee Romano Mandola; his children, Lenette Marie Mandola Terry and husband William Joseph Terry, Dr. Joseph Gerard Mandola and wife Jennifer C. Mandola, and Albert Gerard Mandola and wife Elizabeth A. Mandola; his grandchildren, Lincoln Ryan LeCompte, William Joseph Terry, II , Jeffrey Wright Terry, Vincent Joseph Mandola, Angela Lee Mandola, Lauren Mari Mandola, Lindsey Rose Mandola, Mikaela Lee Mandola, Joseph Vincent Mandola, and Elena Ann Mandola; great-grandchildren, Zoey Elizabeth LeCompte, William Joseph Terry, III, Wyatt Jacob Terry; and brother, Anthony Mandola and wife Joanne Mandola.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 7th of April, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where a Recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at seven o'clock.

A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at half-past one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 8th of April, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where the Msgr. Frank Rossi, the Pastor, Rev. Roy J. Oggero and the Rev. Patrick S. Garrett, are to serve as celebrants.

The Rite of Committal will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Honored to serve as casket bearers during the services are Lincoln Ryan LeCompte, Vincent Joseph Mandola, Joseph Vincent Madola, William Joseph Terry, Jeffery Wright Terry and Paul Mangiameli.
