John A. Guynes
March 13, 1926 - May 9, 2010
John Allan Guynes, age 84, formerly of Houston, Texas died on Sunday, May 9, 2010 in St. Louis, Mo.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley L. Guynes; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Guynes of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Cynthia and Megan Guynes; and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Florence Guynes; and three sons, Thomas, Carlton “Bo” and Gary Guynes.
Mr. Guynes served our country in the Navy during WWII and was a retired, 30 year employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Visitation on Friday, May 14 from 6 to 8 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, with Funeral service on Saturday, 11 am from the funeral home Chapel. Interment following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
