Stanley Helms
Helms, Stanley Mr. Stanley W. Helms, age 73, of Richardson, Texas passed away February 4, 2011. He was born on August 30, 1937, in Taylor, Texas, to George and Dorothy White Helms. On August 31, 1963, he married Dorcas Abbott in Richardson. Mr. Helms graduated
from Texas A&M, and was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Ross Volunteers. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Subsequently, he worked for TI and Ratheon as a systems engineer. Outside of work, he proudly volunteered
to coach his sons' baseball teams and served as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 1001. Mr. Helms was a member of the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorcas Helms; sons, Bradley Helms of Minneapolis and Steven Helms and wife, Kappi of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Holiday and Kate Helms; brother, Eugene Helms and wife, Norma of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews
and other loving relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Neal Jeffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation
beginning at 6:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
