Carl E. Burgess Jr.
CAMERON — Military services for Carl Edward Burgess Jr., 56, of Milano are 2 p.m. Monday in Rice Cemetery near Cameron with the Rev. Burt Grahamn officiating.
Mr. Burgess died Wednesday, Dec. 29, in a Caldwell hospital.
He was born on July 9, 1954, to Carl Edward Burgess Sr. and Carolyn Belt in Cameron. He was a 1972 graduate of Milano High School and a 1981 graduate of Texas A&M University. He served in the U.S. Army, 1972-1978, 8th Infantry Division, 2nd platoon, Company
A, Third Battalion, 68th Armor serving in Germany as a tank commander. He later worked in sales and marketing in the Central Texas area. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include three daughters, Emily Suzanne Burgess, Amanda Kay Burgess and Michelle Lauren Burgess, all of Houston; two brothers, David Burgess of Belton and Bruce Burgess of Temple; a sister, Jackie Baron of Caldwell; and his mother, Carolyn Belt Story
of Milano.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
