Col. Norman E. Buescher, Jr., USAF Ret., age 78, of Hondo passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010.
He was born Jan. 6, 1932, in McAllen, the son of Norman E. and Mae Walker (Tansey) Buescher.
A C130 pilot, he retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nancy Ann (Moffitt) Buescher; and his sister, Betty Jo Mangan.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Schuehle) Buescher; sons, N. Mark Buescher and wife Beate of Bulverde, H. Gregg Buescher and wife Lisa of Noblesville, IN, and Hunter Buescher and wife Tori of Portland; daughters, Anna Moffitt Eatmon and husband Greg of Virginia and Kelly B. Moughon and husband Lee Roy of Hondo; 17 grandchildren and one due in December and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, at First United Methodist Church, Hondo. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Woodmen of the World Section.
The family suggests memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church
