Association Provides $3.2 Million to Texas A&M

Michael "Mike" Smith September 23, 2010 9:12 AM

In continuing its 131-year legacy of service and support, The Association of Former Students will provide $3,285,000 in support to Texas A&M for the 2010-11 academic year.

When Texas A&M officials announced the special funding it received this year from The Association, it was the former students who got the acclaim.

Porter S. Garner III ’79, president and CEO of The Association of Former Students, credited the thousands of former students, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M “who faithfully contribute to The Association’s Annual Fund with making the support possible.”

"Each gift to The Association of Former Students – regardless of size – makes a difference at Texas A&M,” Garner said. “With continued and additional support from the Aggie Network, we hope to make an even greater impact in future years.”
