In 2005 my wife, Moonyeen, and I moved to Lake Chapala, Mexico after I retired for the third time. Most of my career was spent working for Architectural Engineering companies such as DMJM (Los Angeles) and CRS (Houston) in International Construction Management. I spent several years managing both Military and Civilian Airport Design and Construction and other large projects in England, Thailand, Viet Nam, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia.
I also worked five years at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport as Director of Design and Construction.
In retirement, I keep buisy as the President of the Local Shrine Club, Treasurer of the Masonic Lodge and President of our 180 unit Home Owners Association. In my spare time, I go sailing on Lake Chapala which is the largest lake in Mexico (52 miles long). Lake Chapala is at 5,200 Ft. elevation and is located 35 miles south of Guadalajara. We enjoy a perfect year around climate of 60 to 90 degrees with low humidity. None of our houses are heated or air conditioned. Our retirement community consists of about 15,000, mostly Americans and Canadians.
We have three Casitas (one bedroom cotages) on our property which we ocasionally rent to Canadian and American visitors.
