Published in Houston Chronicle from June 17 to June 19, 2010 CHARLES F. WEBBER Jr. CHARLES F. WEBBER, JR., 50, died June 13, 2010 in Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. Charlie was born August 15, 1959 in Galveston, Texas. He was raised in Houston, Texas where he graduated from Robert E. Lee high school in 1977 as Sr. Class president.Charlie was a proud Texas Aggie, Class of '81. While attending Texas A&M he served as President of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, and graduated with a BBA in Finance. He received an MBA from Southern Methodist University in 1986.Charlie was preceded in death by his father, C. Frank Webber, MD., his grandparents, Dr. Robert K. Blair, Sr and Madeline, and Charles and Mabel Webber. He is survived by his mother, Judy Webber Hall and her husband Robert L. Hall, sister, Lydia Webber Harrington and husband Dennis, Friendswood, TX, brother George F. Webber and wife Vanessa, Athens, Georgia, step sister Lori Hall Endsley, Evergreen, Colo, nieces and nephews Madeline, Paul and Lisa Harrington and Elena and Sam Webber as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Charlie's many interests reflected the Renaissance man he was. He was an avid fisherman, a voracious reader, an experienced hunter, a creative cook, a passionate collector of folk art, and an animal lover. He was a leader among his peers and a treasured friend. He will be remembered for his compassion, loyalty and caring for others. The family would like to especially thank Sharon Kuhn Young and Tom Rogers as well as Charlie's many other treasured friends for their caring and support.A Memorial Celebration will be held at the First Congregational Church, 10840 Beinhorn Rd, Houston, Tx 77024 on Saturday, July 24th at 2:00pm.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to the charity of your choice or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation , 2425 Fountainview, Suite 280 Houston, TX 77057 or the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), 3800 Buffalo Speedway, Suite 300, Houston, TX 77098.
