Class of ’70 50th Anniversary Reunion is canceled.
Howdy, Class of '70!
Thank you to those who responded to the survey regarding the status of our Reunion. Reviewing the survey responses, the overwhelming majority of Classmates voted to either postpone or cancel the Reunion in April.
Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 50th Anniversary Reunion that was originally planned for April 2020 and then postponed to April 2021. Given the current and forecasted conditions for large-scale events such as our Reunion, we would be unable to provide the 50th Anniversary Reunion that our Classmates and their guests would expect.
While this event has been canceled, we are still planning a Celebration of the Class of 1970 which will take place prior to our 55th Anniversary Reunion and induction into the Sul Ross Group in March 2025. This gathering will be similar in nature to our prior Class Reunions and will be sure to include the warm Aggie camaraderie that we all cherish. A date for this celebration will be set once we are more certain about the viability of large-scale events, and an announcement will be made to the Class.
If you already made hotel reservations at the Hilton in the MUST70 group block, those reservations will automatically be canceled by the hotel. There is no need to call the hotel to cancel your reservations.
