Worked for Chevron as a petroleum engineer from 1955-1960, minus 6 months as a 2nd. Lt. at Ft. Knox in 1957. Worked for Chase Manhattan Bank from 1960-62 in Oil and Gas Department.  Worked for First City National Bank in Petroleum Department from 1963-1981.  Manager of department 1977-1981. Worked for Clayton Williams 1982-1983.  Worked as president of First City Finance Corporation 1983-86.  Partner in Diverse Energy Group 1986-93. Retired in 1993. Trustee of Houston Museum of Natural Science, Board member of Washington on the Brazos State Park Ass'n. President of Chappell Hill Historical Society 2000-2002, President of Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce 2003. President of Independence Historical Society 2004.  Author of Tennessee Preacher, Tennessee Soldier, the Civil War Career of Captain John D. Kirkpatrick, CSA. Married, two children.
