Published in Victoria Advocate on April 14, 2010 DR. EDWARD J. BEAL SHINER - Dr. Edward J. Beal, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. He was born on Jan. 8, 1957, in Garmish, Germany to Leroy Joseph and Pauline Stock Beal. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University class of '79 and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and was a Doctor of Dentistry in Shiner for 26 years; member of the Texas Dentistry Association and American Dentistry Association, Association of Texas A&M Former Students, Yoakum Golf Association, Shiner Knights of Columbus Council #3081; and leader of Boy Scouts of America Troop #231 and Eagle Scout. Survivors: wife of 25 years, Dana Hermes Beal; sons, Zachary Beal and Reagan Beal of Shiner; parents, Leroy and Pauline Beal of Shiner; brothers, John Beal and wife Susan of Carrolton and Patrick Beal and wife Marisa of San Antonio; sister, Carol Ernst and husband Steve of Waxahachie; nephews, Jonathan Beal, Aaron, B. J. and Sam Ernst; and nieces, Lauren Beal and Kaedy Hermes. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Sts Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Sts Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Interment will be at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mark Beal, Dr. Cliff Watkins, Dr. Carl Hickman, Dr. Taylor McKewen, Jake Kram, John Kovalcik, and James Sofka. Honorary pallbearers: Alice Manning, Lisa Koenning, Cheryl Blaschke, Denise Sandelovic, Angie Dullye, Janet Jiral, and Elaine Gillar.
