Jason Michael Seymour

January 6, 1977 - February 8, 2024

With profound sorrow, we announce that Jason Michael Seymour was called home to the Lord and entered eternal peace at his home in Dallas, Texas at the age of 47. He was the firstborn to Ricky and Kathleen “Kathy” Seymour in Dallas, Texas on January 6, 1977.

Jason often recalled his treasured childhood and many friends being raised in Garland, Texas. As a teenager, his strong desire was to attend Texas A&M University upon his South Garland High School graduation. He followed his dream and was accepted to the University, became a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and participated as an Army Reserves member. He was a member of the F- 2 “Fox Company” and dreamed of becoming a Tank Artillery Commander but an injury changed that and he was honorably discharged as a United States Veteran. Jason had an unwavering devotion and commitment to all things Aggie related and proudly graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 2000.

Jason deeply adored his children from the moment they were born. As the father of son, Monroe (14) and daughter, Laney (12), he delighted in all that he as Dad did together with them –watching them in playing sports, excelling in school, taking them fishing, walking the arboretum, attending Texas A&M and Dallas Stars games and taking them on fun trips to the beach. He loved being with them more than anything.

Jason’s professional career in the mortgage banking industry is where he achieved many successes, made many friends and won numerous awards which led to leadership roles at various organizations. He was recognized by his coworkers in 2022 and achieved the honor of being named an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley.

Jason had a passion for a variety of genres of music and attended many concerts. In 2017, while attending a concert, he met his future wife, Kelly Rose. Together they enjoyed traveling including to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, one of Jason’s favorite vacations. Unbeknownst to Jason, Kelly would soon have him becoming an enthusiastic cat dad and together they merged their families and married on July 9, 2022 near the Pacific Ocean in Del Mar, California.

Jason became a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in 2009, he enjoyed the spiritual awareness he was gaining with his maturing age. He always responded to those he met in a
courteous way using his Southern and Corps of Cadets instilled manners, “Yes, Ma’am”. “Yes. Sir”. Jason will be forever remembered as an extremely bright and quick-witted man who sported a strong sense of humor.

Jason was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Emily (Campbell) and Vernon Seymour, Sr. along with his maternal grandmother, Alice Enright Shepherd, all from New Orleans, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife Kelly Rose; his children Monroe Michael Seymour and Laney Seymour, his parents, Kathleen “Kathy” and Ricky Seymour and his brothers, David and Simon Seymour; and many relatives in Arizona, Louisiana, Texas and other states.

Please join us as we come together to honor and celebrate the life of Jason Seymour 11a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Rd. Dallas, TX 75230.
