Laura Jean Butler 

December 28, 1959 - December 27, 2023 

Laura Jean Butler, age 63, passed away on December 27, 2023, surrounded by family at her sister’s home in Houston, Texas.

She was born December 28, 1959 in Duncan, Oklahoma to W. J. “Jim” and Shirley Butler.

Laura graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1978. Continuing her education at Texas A&M University, she received her B.A. in 1982. She spent her entire career in the Oil & Gas industry as an accomplished Landman. She was an avid Skeet shooter, and her passion was everything “horses”.

Laura is preceded in death by her father Walter James Butler and her Brother-in-Law Richard Mishriky. She is survived by her mother Shirley Butler, her siblings Jennifer Mishriky and Mark Butler, her Sister-in-Law Leah Butler, her nephews Michael, Matthew, and Luke Butler.
