Blake also spent a lot of his time farming and raising cattle. He enjoyed time spent outdoors. He also spent many years coaching youth sports teams including baseball, softball, and soccer.

In 1970, Blake met Lola Belle Brown of Texas and they were married shortly after. They were married for 53 years. He was a loving husband and devoted to his family. He will be remembered for his servant's heart and willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
