James Bryan Baker, a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away suddenly on November 17, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

He was born on April 9th, 1961, to Lester and Norma Baker, who he joined in heaven.

Bryan dedicated over 20 years of his professional life as a Chief Financial Officer. His exceptional financial acumen and unwavering commitment made a lasting impact on the organizations he served.

Beyond his successful career, Bryan was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Particularly through his love for fishing and hunting, he found tranquility and a sense of connection with nature.

Bryan expressed his creativity through singing and playing the guitar. He enjoyed leading worship for many years, loved playing songs by James Taylor, Garth Brooks, and jamming out to John Mayer. Bryan was a lover of dogs and enjoyed going on long walks with his chocolate lab at White Rock Lake.

Bryan held his role as a family man in the highest regard. For over 30 years, he shared a loving bond with his devoted wife Suzanne. Together, they raised three children—Zac, Abby, and Anna—who were the center of his world. He was a devoted and loving brother to Steven, and his dedication was evident in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the love he unconditionally bestowed upon his children and family.

As a proud supporter of Texas A&M University, Bryan, Class of 1984, was a true Aggie at heart. His enthusiasm for his alma mater was infectious, and he reveled in the camaraderie and spirit of the Aggie community.

Bryan will be remembered for his hard work, curiosity, and being a faithful dad, willing to do anything for his children and others. His genuine nature and warm smile touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark that will be forever cherished.

He is survived by his loving wife, children, and brother, along with a host of relatives and dear friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
