Robert Donald "Bob" Ash 

May 16, 1932 - July 11, 2023 

Robert Donald Ash (Bob) of Winnsboro, TX passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 11, 2023. He was 91. Born May 16, 1932 in Azle, Texas.

Service: 12:30 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2023 Biggers Funeral Chapel

Interment: Azleland Memorial Park, Azle, Texas. Visitation: prior to the Service

Bob grew up in Azle, TX on Eagle Mountain Lake with his parents and 3 brothers: Jerry, Phil and Barney. They ran a small dairy farm and lived in adjoined train cars of the old interurban rail line from Fort Worth to Dallas. He graduated valedictorian from Azle High School, attended Texas A&M University with an Animal Husbandry Degree and served in the Air Force as a pilot.

Bob was a devout Christian sharing his faith by the way he lived and treated people. He attended and was an active member of The Hills Church in North Richland Hills TX for 43 years. He brought many to Christ by the way he lived and shared his faith.

Bob was an entrepreneur and experienced success in the advertising and printing business working well into his 70’s.

He was a proud Aggie and loved to play golf and lunch with his buddies weekly.

Bob and his wife Kay enjoyed traveling with friends and special trips with June and Wayne Haney, and Kay's sister and husband Toni and Bob Parkhill. They also enjoyed their time with friends in their church care group.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kay Ash; daughter, Lynn Ash Hawkins of Winnsboro TX, stepdaughters, Missi Elliot husband Ray of Winnsboro TX, Tiffani Simon and husband James of Pearland TX, brothers, Jerry Ash and wife Jessie of San Antonio, Philip Ash and wife Penny of Euless, Barney Ash and wife Carol of New Mexico, 9 grandchildren, Troy Ash wife Justina, Brandon Ash, Annie Schultz, Samuel Schultz, Step-grands Cody Smith wife Stephanie, Kayden Smith, Brandon Smith, Jonathan Emanuel, Alexis Simon 4 great grandchildren: Robby Ash, Hayden Ash, Holden Ash, Step-grand Sophia Emanuel, Daughter in love: Cathy Ash,aunts: Bonnie Jessup, Billie Rycroft, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews

Bob was preceded in death by Parents Wayne and Marguerite Ash, son Robert Wayne Ash (Rob) all of Azle,TX.

"GrandBob", "GBob" or "Pops" was beloved by his family as the spiritual leader and all the many celebrations and milestones they shared together.
