Edward De La Garza

Edward De La Garza, 71, born in Brownsville, Texas passed away in Miami, Florida December 6, 2009 with his wife Conchita by his side.

Edward worked as an attorney for Exxon Corporation for over 30 years and lived in Houston, Texas for 18 years. Prior to his career with Exxon Corporation, Edward was an Assistant District Attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Edward is survived by his wife Conchita, sons Andrew and Ted and grandchildren; his brother Tello (Mary de la Garza); one niece and his aunt Maria de la Garza Dellinger.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Caballero- Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home at 3344 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, Florida followed by a mass at St. Raymond Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. located at 3475 S.W. 16th Street. Christian burial will follow at Woodlawn Park North Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Lung Association, 2020 South Andrews Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33316.
