Cynthia Lee "Cindy" LaMar Davis 
November 29, 1953 - June 1, 2023 

On June 1, 2023, Cynthia LaMar Davis went to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven, after a long battle with brain cancer.

Cindy was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was married for 49 years to Andrew (Dusty) R. Davis, III. She was mother to Andrew IV and Kenneth LaMar Davis.

Cindy had a passion for her family, church, friends and her many students over the years. She was a selfless servant and always giving of herself for the betterment of others.

Cindy was a graduate of Bryan High School, class of 1972. She showed leadership early on and was captain of the Shy-Anns drill team. She attended Texas A&M University and was a graduate Magna Cum Laude of Texas Christion University.

She taught kindergarten and literacy in the Arlington Independent School District for 20 years. Upon retirement she was a partner with her sister, Mary Kay Quackenbush, in Texas Avenue Antiques Store in Bryan, Texas. She also partnered with Dusty in Texas Avenue Estate Sales in Houston and Bryan/College Station.

Of great importance to her was her spiritual faith, which started at a young age and never waivered throughout her life. A tribute to her wonderful parents, Don and Donna LaMar, members of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, Cindy was a volunteer Lecter and CCE teacher.

Cindy is preceded in death by her son, Andrew R. Davis, IV (Drew), her father, Donald W. LaMar, Grandparents and other family members.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Dusty, Son, Kenneth and wife Ann and new grandson, Emmett LaMar Davis. Her Siblings and all her family loved her dearly.

Cindy was an inspiration, loved by all, and will be missed dearly by friends and family.

A visitation, beginning at 6:00 PM and Vigil Service at 7:00 PM will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Dettling Funeral Home-14094 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079. Mass of Christian Burial will be the following morning at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church-625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079 with reception to follow on church grounds. A private family burial will take place following reception.
