Glynn Ray Wilson of Fairview, Texas passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He was born October 11, 1934 in Mexia, Texas to Norval and LaFaye Wilson. Glynn was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1957.
Glynn served in the US Navy Reserves and retired after 23 years. He also worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service (today known as Natural Resources), retiring in 1989. At that point, Glynn and his wife, Sue, retired to their adopted home state of Arkansas to their 500-acre farm. There, Glynn put his Animal Husbandry degree to good use and grew his herd to over 100 Black Angus. In 2017, Glynn and Sue moved to Texas to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Wanda Faye Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue (née Ramsey); daughter Hope LaFaye Wagner (Harold), their daughters Rachel and Anna; as well as son, Glynn Ramsey Wilson (Marcia).
The burial will be at the Mulberry New Cemetery, Mulberry, Arkansas. Arrangements were entrusted to Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
