Sharlyndra Turner Brown 

June 4, 1976 - April 15, 2023

Sharlyndra Brown, 46, passed away peacefully at her home in North Richland Hills, Texas on April 15, 2023.

Sharlyndra was born on June 4th, 1976 to Reginald Turner and the late Glenda Sneed in Dallas, TX. Sharlyndra grew up in Dallas, primarily raised by her great grandmother the late Charlie Mae Cottingham where she graduated from Skyline High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University. She later completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington. Sharlyndra had a 23 year career at Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. serving in many roles. She retired in 2022 as Manager, Compliance and Small Business.

Sharlyndra had a passion for serving others donating and serving time with a number of charitable organizations. She served on the Board of the Bell Helicopter Textron Inc Employees’ Humanity Fund. She was awarded the “Superheroes Answer the Call” award from HEB ISD. At the Airpower Foundation SkyBall she received the “Citizen Hero” award where she shared the stage with Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipients, Vietnam POWs, Congressional and local leaders and leadership from all branches of service, and other great men and women being recognized for their volunteer contributions to the community. She was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship and taught ESL and served in the Nursery at Central Bible Church. She served for countless organizations spending a great deal of her time promoting biblical teaching and mentoring children.

Sharlyndra is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Deryl Brown of North Richland Hills, TX, her father Reginald Turner (Francine), brother Corey Loud and his 2 children Corey Jr and Cora Lyn, her sister Janelle Turner, step-father Rubin Patterson, uncle Vincent (Rosalind) Sneed, her cousin Ryan (Ashley) Sneed and their child Arianna Sneed, and her cousin Ellis Wheatfall.

There will be a memorial service for Sharlyndra on Sunday, April 23, 2023, please contact family for more information.
