Reveille is such a good Ag that she did it twice.

Legend at Texas A&M holds that if the school mascot barks during class, the class will be dismissed.

Last week, Reveille X let out a little bark during a biology class – then barked again to make sure.

It's not always possible for professors to let class out at a moment's notice, but Dr. Chris Lee ’93 made the call, and video clips by his overjoyed Aggie students went viral on social media.

Connor White ’24, a pre-vet biomedical sciences major, shared his photos and video with The Association. Miss Rev's first bark was "subtle but noticeable," White said. "Everyone paused."

On White’s video, you can hear Lee ask, “Is that the bark?” Reveille obliges with another “Ruff!” and Lee pronounces, “Class dismissed!”

Lee reassured his students that the class (BIOL 319 Human Anatomy and Physiology, meeting in Heldenfels) wasn't behind on the material they needed to cover.

The professor also went viral in summer 2022 for his good-natured support of the Texas A&M baseball team: tx.ag/ChrisLeeBaseball.

White said, “I have had the wonderful privilege of having Dr. Lee for two classes so far! He is an exceptional and engaging professor whose passion for biology and fun style of teaching has inspired countless students.”
