Black Former Student Network Names Aggie Impact Honorees

The Black Former Student Network announced the honorees for its 2021 Aggie Impact Gala, set for December in Aggieland.
The honorees are:
- Jacob Green '80, College Football Hall of Fame
- Andrea Williams '96, chief operating officer-College Football Playoffs
- Dr. Ashanti Johnson '93, American oceanographer
- Demetria Hall '93, aerospace engineer/STEAM advocate
- Steven Solari '91 and Dr. Le'Chauncey Woodard Solari '92, former Aggie football player
- Dr. Lesia Crumpton-Young '87, 13th president of Texas Southern University
- Dr. Eli Jones '82, former dean of Mays Business School
- Col. Kenneth Allison '85, associate director of the Hollingsworth Center for Ethical Leadership
- Bruce '79 and Sandra '80 Chinn, CEO of Chevron Chemical Phillips
- Kafi Slaughter '93, co-founder of the Aggie Impact Foundation Endowed Scholarship
The gala also serves as a fundraiser for scholarships; it raised more than $100,000 in its inaugural year.
