To keep all involved safe, the Comal County Aggie Moms’ Club and Angelina Texas A&M Mothers Club adapted their annual summer Howdy Parties to become drive-through events welcoming students and parents. Incoming freshmen Aggies and family who drove through received ice cream and cookies, goodie bags, information and more from masked members of the Aggie Moms Clubs.
Forty-five carloads and 38 new Aggies and family, including Kyle Morris '24 and his mom, Shayna '96, drove through a thrift store parking lot in New Braunfels during the Comal County Aggie Moms Club’s Howdy Party on Aug. 4. Club President Jann Rabon said this event saw the best turnout ever, well above the usual attendance of about 10 freshmen; the Club is considering keeping this format in the future.
About 25 incoming Aggie students and their families, including Laurel Ainsworth ’24, right, and Sarah Anne Scoggins '24, drove through the Angelina Texas A&M Mothers Club’s Howdy Party in Lufkin on Aug. 2.
