Lost on Mountain, Aggie Ring returned after 3 years

After graduating A&M, I went to Flight Attendant school in Phoenix, Arizona. During training, my friends and I went out on a lot of adventures, one was hiking Camelback Mountain.

I was with my group of friends, and on top of the mountain I decided to take off my ring for the famous "ring scenery" picture. Well when I did it flew off my finger and I heard it fall off the mountain. I panicked and we searched for hours, but could not find it. The next day I rented a metal detector and an Uber to take us back to the mountain. People were joking with us, asking if we were searching for gold. We searched all around the area where I lost it, but could not find it without risking our safety. I contacted the park informing them about my ring. Months following I called asking for an update, and nothing. I knew it was gone forever.

3 years later I get a random message on Facebook from a stranger saying she and her husband  found my ring hiking on vacation and wanted to return it. How they found it is a mystery. I am truely grateful!
