Peri Leigh Courtney Sprague, 52, formerly of Texarkana, TX, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015, at her home in Houston, TX. Peri was born November 12, 1963 to Winnie and Neal Courtney in Texarkana, Texas. Peri was married to her husband, Mark, for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Neal Courtney, brother, Steven Courtney, and father-in-law, Richard Sprague.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Sprague of Houston; mother, Winnie Courtney of Texarkana, TX; mother-in-law, Via Sprague of Houston, TX; sister, Lisa Liles of Texarkana, TX; sister-in-law Karen Courtney of Flower Mound, TX; brother-in-law, Ron Sprague and wife Debra of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; brother-in-law, David Sprague and wife Mia of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Michaelyn Liles and Jordan Liles of Texarkana, TX, Tyler Courtney and Lindsay Courtney of Flower Mound, TX, Bailey and Patrick of Dhahran, SA, Alexandra, Christina, David, Richard and Catherine, of Houston, TX; and devoted caregiver, Yadiris Pedrozo, of Houston, TX.

Peri was a 1982 graduate of Texas High School in Texarkana and a 1986 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. She was a former member of First Baptist Church Texarkana and current member of Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Peri was employed as a CPA in Houston, TX. She was a loyal and faithful wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Peri was undoubtedly a good and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane. Services will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Texarkana with Rev. Larry Sims and Dr. Terry Land officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of East Funeral Home, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to the charity of your choice.
