Obituary and photo sent by daughter.

Michael D. Keen (Class of 1956) passed away on April 2, 2015. Mike will be remembered as kind, sweet man who loved practical jokes like waking up his children on Saturday mornings to the Texas Aggie Fight Song.

Mike had passion for working on engines and cars and went to ATM for a B.S. in Industrial Technology & Engineering. Mike designed hydraulic equipment for shore /offshore oilrigs with passion in his work. That passion led him to the North Sea, Asia, South Texas and Louisiana. He received a patent for his work on a pipe-racking system.

In 2007 Mike was invited to visit Jay Leno’s Garage. As a teenager Mike saved a 1908 Mercer Raceabout from a junkyard. That car is now part of Jay Leno’s collection.

Mike will be missed by his wife Beverly Keen, first wife Jane Keen, their children Julia Keen, Mary Keen, Beth Keen Bommer (class of ‘84”), and Michael Keen (class of ’89), and grandchildren Jesse Keen Rubin, Kathryn Nicole Bommer, Graham Keen Rubin, Ben Keen Bommer, Matt Keen Bommer, John Baldwin Keen, Paul Stockton Keen, Emma Towson Keen Eveleth.

Mike is preceded by his parents Lucille Donahoo Keen & Lowell “Tiny” Keen (Aggie Athletic Hall of Fame 1972 and member of the 12th Man class of ’22).

“Hullaboloo, Caneck, Caneck” as we say good bye to a proud Aggie and our “Paw”
