Clyde Williams
Clyde Williams Jr., 87, La Porte, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 1:22p.m. at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX. He was born September 27, 1926, in Clarksville, TX, (Red River County) and had been a resident of the community of La Porte
since December 1960. Mr. Williams was of Methodist faith.
Clyde was a 1950 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. He received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineer and worked at Standard Oil of Texas (Chevron) for 23 years until he retired in year 1971. After his retirement, Clyde continued
consultant work periodically for other oil related companies.
Clyde is the son of the late Clyde Williams, Sr., and the late Elaine Mauldin Williams from the Heights community in Houston, TX. Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Jean Patricia Swoboda Williams, and his two sons, Mark Thomas Williams, and wife Lisa, Pearland,
TX; and Brady Blain Williams, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aron Thomas Williams, Dallas, TX.; Chase Patrick Williams, Omaha, NE.; Morgan Leigh Williams, Pearland, TX. Robert Lee Williams and wife Kristalyn, Crosby, TX.; and
four great grandchildren, McKenzie, McKenna, Paisley, and Jaxon Williams. Other surviving relative is his brother, William (Bill) B. Williams, and wife Loree, Grand Junction, CO.
Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 3pm. Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery are located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079.
