It is the biggest BEER-Festival in the world. It takes place once a year on the meadow where Prince Ludwig married his Therese more than 200 years ago. Bavaria’s largest breweries have their own tents there, filled with thousands of people ready to party with in their lederhosen and dirndls. After 2 days of celebrating we continue to my homeland, Austria. We are shaped like a little banjo now but 100 years ago half of Europe was ruled by the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Through the catacombs of St. Stephen’s onto the “Riesenrad” out to the beautiful castle of Schoenbrunn into a “Heurigen” restaurant we’ll explore before we head to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Prague. Fantastic architecture, fabulous food and a bone chapel is on our agenda as well as discovering the origins of Pilsner beer.
