The March-April issue of Texas Aggie magazine is now available online for digital subscribers and active members of The Association of Former Students.

Texas Aggie is free to all active members of The Association. Become an active member today, and receive your copy of the official magazine of The Aggie Network. Active members also have access to online editions and archives.

Inside this issue:

THE EVOLUTION OF THE AGGIE RING: To mark the 125th anniversary of the Aggie Ring, Texas Aggie takes you through the changes and events in history that affected the Ring design that is so widely recognized today.

THE NOBLE MEN (AND WOMEN) OF KYLE: Ride along on a road trip with the Pulse of the Spirit of Aggieland, the nationally famous Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

‘IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT THE STUDENTS’: In the spring of 2010, we interviewed Dr. R. Bowen Loftin ’71, newly named to the presidency of Texas A&M University. Almost four years later, we interviewed him again, after his resignation had been announced and just weeks before he left to become chancellor of the University of Missouri.

2014 AGGIE MUSTER: April 21 again draws near, and we at The Association of Former Students remind you that, come April 21, if there is an Aggie within 100 miles of you, you should get together, share a meal and live over the days you spent at A&M.

LOST AND FOUND: AFTER A WRONG TURN, AN AGGIE FINDS WHAT HE WAS MISSING: Curtis Childers '98, a former student body president, was on the fast track to success until he was derailed by drug addiction and a brain injury. On the road to recovery, a group of students he inspired helped him recover something special he had lost.

PLUS: The first Aggies of 1876, Student Assistance Fund, Our Special Aggies, Sondra and Ron Skaggs ’65, Chance Sanford ’03, Silver Taps, and much more.

Texas Aggie is published six times a year for active members of The Association of Former Students. Are you getting YOUR Texas Aggie magazine? If not, click here to find out how.
