Lewis & Clark: Corps of Discovery

June 20, 2014 - June 30, 2014

Relive the great exploration from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific with fellow Aggies in June 2014.  You will visit the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, see Ulm Pishkun, site of prehistoric buffalo hunts, and float the headwaters of the Missouri River.  Your historian will lead the group through Lemhi and Lolo Passes, trace the journey down the Snake River and Canyon to the Dalles and then the Pacific Ocean.  There we will see beached whale and salt camps and Fort Clatsop itself.

We will also visit the McNary Wildlife Refuge, the Big Hole Battlefield where the Nez Perce fought the American troops in 1877, cruise the Salmon River and see the Bridge of the Gods along the way.  The tour is June  20 -30, 2014.
