Pathways through Panama

May 1, 2014 - May 17, 2014

Enjoy the perfect blend of fascinating ports of call and warm, relaxing days at sea aboard Oceania’s Regatta. Explore waters teeming with wildlife while sea kayaking in a pristine Key West nature reserve. Spend two carefree days poolside, basking in the sun as you cruise sparkling, blue Caribbean waters. Near the Bay of Cartagena, see Corales del Rosario, a national preserve of 27 coral islands and home to 197 mollusk, 170 crustacean and 215 fish species. Transit the Panama Canal and sail to Puntarenas, where the active Poas Volcano rises 8,500 feet. The Finca Hamburgo coffee plantation, in a beautiful Chiapas valley, has produced coffee beans for more than 100 years. Seek out colorful Oaxacan arts and crafts in Huatulco and marvel at the skill of the world-famous Acapulco cliff divers. Near Cabo San Lucas, ride horseback along a beautiful cactus-lined beach.

Experience the relaxed country club ambiance of the Oceania line aboard the Regatta, where cruisers can pamper themselves in the state-of-the-art Canyon Ranch SpaClub before a night of dinner and dancing. This facility offers massage, body and skin care treatments, an extensive gym and weight room, thalassotherapy room, whirlpools, a thermal suite and completes beauty salon. Additionally, the SpaClub conducts fitness and yoga classes, as well as various lifestyle workshops. Six onboard restaurants provide a variety of options, from alfresco Mediterranean dining at Tapas on the Terrace to gourmet cuisine in the Grand Dining Room, where tuxedo-clad waiters serve six-course meals while a string quartet plays in the background. Evening entertainment can be found in the ship’s casino or one of its eight bars, including a martini bar and Grappa, the perfect spot for a nightcap. Attention to detail extends to the staterooms, where goose down pillows and plush duvets ensure a good night’s sleep.
