Alaskan Wilderness

June 18, 2013 - June 28, 2013

From the ultra-modern Experience Music Project in Seattle to the multicolored hues of traditional Butchart Gardens near Victoria, you can see it all on this ten-day voyage.  The isolation of dramatic Icy Strait Point is balanced by the small-town charms of Juneau, Alaska's capital city. Sitka, where Russia transferred ownership of Alaska to the United States in 1867, still exhibits its Russian heritage in the historic Russian Bishop's House and the onion domes of the Russian Orthodox Church. The still waters of the fishing village of Ketchikan are a prelude to the unspoiled beauty of the Inside Passage and the glories of unmatched Hubbard Glacier, which extends 76 miles inland.
