Ralph Rayburn '69

Ralph "Flip" Rayburn '69, 60, of College Station (formerly of San Antonio) died Jan. 31, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve after 25 years. He was a marine county agent for Aransas County, executive director of the Texas Shrimp Association, director of Coastal Fisheries, and director of intergovernmental affairs for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department before joining Texas A&M where he was associate director and extension program leader for Texas Sea Grant. He was recently appointed chairman of the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission. He was Co-class Agent for the Class of 1969. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Stinnett Rayburn '75, and a daughter, Rachel E. Rayburn '99.
