Allen C. Gunter, Jr. '69 of Houston (formerly of Bryan and Dallas) died Jan. 8, 2008. He was a first lieutenant and artillery officer in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was chief operating officer of Lomas and Nettleton Investment Partners, Inc., an affiliate of Lomas Financial Corporation, before founding L&G Realty Advisors, Inc. in 1987, a firm providing real estate investment management and advisory services to institutional investors. He co-founded SIA Partners, Ltd. in 1991, providing full service real estate acquisition and development and splitting his time between corporate offices in Houston and the company co-founder's location in Santa Barbara, Calif. He and his wife founded the Brumley Guinan Gunter Foundation in 2006 to improve the health, well being, and quality of life of those in need. He was a member of Company E-2 and cadet major of the 2nd Brigade staff of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Patricia; two sons; a daughter; and a sister.
