James "Jim" Stribling '69 January 29, 2007 12:00 AM

James C. "Jim" Stribling '69, 76, of College Station (formerly of San Saba) died January 26, 2007. He was a resource development specialist for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service while completing his master's and Ph.D. in recreation and parks at Texas A&M. He was named extension specialist emeritus of recreation, park and tourism sciences upon retirement. Survivors include his wife, Diane; four sons; a daughter, Stephanie D. (Stribling) Thigpen '89; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother. Memorials may be made to the scholarship fund in the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences, TAMU 2261, College Station TX 77843-2261.
