Roll Call Tribute

Annelle Reinberg '80 March 7, 2026 11:56 AM updated: March 7, 2026 12:05 PM

Annelle Glynn "Nell" (Nell) Reinberg

September 27, 1957 - May 27, 2025

With deep sadness and profound love, we announce the passing of our dear Annelle Reinberg. Our hearts are heavy and yet, deeply grateful as we remember the gift of her life. She gave herself fully to this community: to family, to friends, to co-workers, and to the thousands of students and families who walked through her life over the years. Above all, she was a servant of God, a proud Aggie Catholic who entered eternal rest May 27, 2025 at the age of 67.

Born on September 27, 1957 in Hurst, TX to Jack and Annie Nell, Nell lived a life grounded in faith, family and fellowship. She was the beloved wife of Mark for 43 years and their bond was a beautiful example of enduring love and partnership. Together they built a joyful life filled with laughter, shared traditions and countless cherished memories. She was a proud mother of her four sons: Andy and wife Lindsay, Matt and wife Kali, Tim and Mark Thomas and a loving “Grammie” to her six grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family—especially on the patio with a glass of wine in hand, surrounded by laughter, the smell of the grill and the sound of children playing.

If you knew Nell, you knew she brought life and color wherever she went. Her outfits were always beautifully coordinated — fun patterns, bold colors, and just the right amount of sparkle. You always knew when she was around as her charm bracelets jingled with each one carrying a story or memory. She had a way of making the ordinary feel special and the everyday feel celebrated. She interceded constantly for the people she loved. She was always asking others to pray — and yet, she was the first to stop and pray with you when you needed it most. Even in the final weeks of her life, she was asking people to pray for those on her heart.

Nell had the heart of a mother — firm and steady, hilarious and direct, compassionate and deeply faithful. She called things like she saw them, laughed easily (even at the bad jokes), and had a sharp wit that filled everyone with joy. Her faith was natural and woven into her everyday life. She spoke about God and the saints like they were friends — and they were. She and her husband Mark served as a sponsor couple for engaged Aggie Catholics, walking alongside them in both faith and marriage. Together, they were a quiet but powerful witness — in ministry, in daily life, and in the way they received the Eucharist side by side.

Nell is survived by her loving husband Mark; her sons Andy, Matt, Tim and Mark Thomas; her grandchildren Eleanor, Emma Grace, Andrew, Jackston, Emery and Jase; and her extended family and many dear friends. We will all feel the ache of her absence, but we hold fast to what we believe: in Christ, death is not the end. As we say at Muster — and as our faith proclaims — those we love remain with us. Nell will be remembered “here.”
