Michael D. "Mike" McCoy 

April 23, 1959 - October 20, 2025 

Michael D. McCoy was born April 23, 1959 and passed away unexpectedly October 20, 2025 in Woodway, Texas.

Mike earned his Eagle Scout in 1973 and graduated in 1977 from Sidney Lanier High School in Austin, Texas. He was a proud member of Texas A&M’s Corp of Cadets Class of 1981, serving as XO of Company C-1 and earning a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics.

Mike had many jobs throughout his life and was employed by Fedex at the time of his passing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time outdoors. Mike was especially fond of wing-shooting sports and was a longtime participant in competitive trap shooting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty W. (Waddell) McCoy and Robert P. McCoy Jr. Left to mourn Mike’s passing are his fellow Aggie cadets and classmates Rick Fairchild, Bill Singer and David Perkins along with longtime friend Michael Townsend.
