Kenneth Clyde McCormick, Sr. 

June 26, 1931 - February 9, 2026 

Kenneth Clyde McCormick passed away and entered eternal life on February 9, 2026, at the age of 94. He was born in Raccoon Bend, Texas, on June 26, 1931, to Clyde Brink McCormick and Louise Duncan McCormick.

He attended Hawkins High School in Hawkins, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with an electrical engineering degree. Kenneth was married to the love of his life, Irma Janet Towry McCormick, for 56 years. Kenneth was employed with Exxon Pipeline in Houston Texas as an Electrical Engineer for 35 years. After retiring he worked another ten years for Compaq. He was a faithful member of Cypress United Methodist Church in Cypress, Texas for over 45 years. He also attended Franklin Methodist Church while living in Franklin, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Brink McCormick and Louise Duncan McCormick, his wife, Irma Janet Towry McCormick, his brother Seth Duncan McCormick and his great grandson Clyde Christopher Croy.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his son Kenneth Clyde McCormick, Jr.; his daughter, Melissa McCormick Dunne and husband Frank; grandchildren, Matthew Francis Dunne and wife Christina, Zachary Kenneth Dunne and wife Amanda, Janet Melissa Dunne Croy and husband Dylan. Great grandchildren; Mattison, Christian and Baleigh Dunne, Kinley, McKenna and Whitley Dunne, Stella, Maggie and Marshall Croy.

Kenneth was a devoted, loving, selfless husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, known as Papaw to all.

He was a true Christian example. He is at peace now and in the loving arms of his Savior. We will miss him every day but are comforted knowing we will all be reunited again one day in our Father's House.
