Roll Call Tribute

Thomas Ehrig '89 February 17, 2026 12:37 PM updated: February 17, 2026 12:40 PM

Thomas Ehrig

July 27, 1966 - February 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our colleague and friend, Thomas Ehrig, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3rd while hospitalized at Memorial Hermann in downtown Houston.

Thomas was one of the original “Great 8” BCI producers who joined the agency in 2005 and played a meaningful role in building the foundation of who we are today. His impact extended far beyond his professional contributions. Thomas was a kind and loyal friend, a devoted father, and someone who genuinely cared about the people around him. He was also a proud Aggie and an avid Houston Texans fan, hoping this would be their year to make the Super Bowl.

Thomas was especially proud of his sons, Bryton and Landon. He raised Bryton in the business, and they worked side by side at BCI for 12 years. Bryton will continue carrying his father’s legacy forward, a true reflection of the values, dedication, and work ethic Thomas instilled in him.

Please keep Bryton, Landon, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 28th at Akashi - 20326 Tx-249, Houston, TX 77070.
